Experience:
I cut my teeth in a 5-ton truck with a 25' box navigating downtown Calgary for 4 years doing IT reclamation services for ERA.ca.
After moving back home to Victoria, I had to take care of a dying family member and didn't want to work. Then I discovered Amazon delivery for Intelcom. I was not on a clock and I could zoom home anytime I needed to. That was good enough.
I ended up leasing a Nissan NV200 for that, then got the offer for the Staples contract and I had to upgrade. I chose the NV2500 SV with the 5-year warranty.
Two weeks after I accepted the contract and began learning downtown, all of my Government clients locked down their buildings because of the 'rail protests.' That never changed because a few weeks after that, the full Covid lockdown began.
I almost went bankrupt that year while making van payments etcetera, but delivery of toilet paper carried me through.
